Gold Coast Transport - Getting Around

The Coastal strip from Paradise Point (Northern end) down to Coolangatta (Southern end) is relatively flat (apart from the actual headlands such as Miami, Burleigh, Coolangatta and Point Danger). So its very easy to get around by walking, pushbike, scooter and skateboard!

Buses and light rail run every 20-30 minutes along the coastal strip, and into some suburbs. The new Light Rail System operates between Griffith University, the Gold Coast Hospital and Broadbeach.

Qld Rail provides trains from Brisbane and Brisbane Airport to the Gold Coast with stations at Coomera, Helensvale, Nerang, Robina and Varsity Lakes.
